Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Middle East

A landmark multi-functional development in the vicinity of Makkah Holy Haram on a site of 64,000 m², accessible from 2 main roads (East and West), from a private road to the North, and has a direct access to Haram piazza for both pedestrian and vehicular circulations. Due to its huge unparalleled size, height, distinguished location and exposure, the building forces itself as a landmark that should relate to both the Saudi Locality as well as the Islamic Universality of its expected users and, over and above, to illustrate its modern multi-functional identity.

The project consists of a large podium spread over the entire site, overtopped by 12 towers varying from 30 to 48 storeys for residential and hotel uses; the podium accommodates the bus station, shopping mall, restaurants, food courts, conference centre, and car-parks. A dome located on top of the 2 mid towers, houses a ballroom and convention centre. All technical services are located at the podium’s basement levels.
